Pitchero Club

The best way to keep up to date with University of Bristol Hockey Club

Introducing the UBHC

1 year ago By Oscar Robertson

To sporty freshers thinking of joining a sports club at university - why not try the hockey club?

We are one of the biggest clubs at the university, fielding 5 men's and ladies' teams every week. We pride ourselves on being a very sociable and welcoming club whilst at the same time competing at the very highest tier of university hockey.

We hold mixed socials every Wednesday that end in Bunker with all the other sports clubs. These are a great way of meeting new people, including those outside your course or halls! Furthermore, we hold at least two black tie dinners and a tour as well as numerous other events throughout the year, for charity or purely social motives.

Come and find us at the Welcome Fair to sign up! We run a 'fresh sport' trials session for all incoming freshers at the end of freshers' week so that you can try out for the club - we'll update this information later.

We also run preseason training during early September which is open to all freshers who are keen to get a head start on the hockey, see this page for more information and feel free to contact our club captains, Tom Davies (men's - or Catharine Allan (ladies' - ), if you have any questions.

Please see this page for more information about the club.
