Movember 2016

8 months ago By Nick Kirby

30 days of action to stop men dying too young

2016 was another very successful year for the Men's club annual fundraising effort - with 69 members raising a staggering £1,983 simply by growing foolish and unkempt facial hair.

Although there was great effort throughout the club, a special mention must go to Chris Vogelzang who raised £570 by running the New York City Marathon in 3 hours and 48 minutes.

From humble beginnings in Australia in 2003, the Movember movement has grown to be a truly global one and addresses some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
