Match Report: Bristol University A v Swindon
Final Score: 1-1
MoM: Tom Carrington
DoD: Olly Troy
The 2s hosted second in the league Swindon to dingle, looking to avenge a heavy away defeat. As always, preparation was on point with dos members being lost on the morning, so things could only get better.
Exactly that happened as Bristol started the game as the dominant force, and the pressure told as a short was converted; fresher fridge binning his first goal for the club. However, Swindon started to show why they were near the top of the table, and only a string of saves from Carrington in goal and some dreadful finishing kept the ball out of the Bristol net. HT 1-0
Classic Bristol as a lapse in concentration allowed Swindon to equalise 5 minutes into the second half. This rattled the team, with Troy mistaking the opposition forward for a team mate, and passing him the ball on the top of the D. Luckily said forward was a rabbit, and wasted the opportunity. Chances fell to both sets of forwards but resolute defending thwarted any attempts on goal and the score stayed at 1-1.
