Final Score: Southampton 4-3 Bristol

The 4s were the last hope of staying in the cup after the 3s upset earlier in the day and so trekked to Southampton with much pressure on their shoulders. Our match against Southampton Solents started as badly as it finished, with Middleton struggling to drive on the roads leading to Fresher Rajah having to pick up the stragglers. Despite having 8 players and no goalie kit we were forced to prepare for the match. Thankfully Fresher Rajah arrived just in time for the start after going at a steady 95 mph for us to have 11 on the pitch and dos subs. Fresher Farquharson put us in front only for Solents to return the favour. The half ended 1-1 and a pumped squad readied themselves to attempt put the game to bed. Despite best efforts from Fresher Hughes scoring a worldie we couldn’t hold the lead. Sadly, Fresher Cantrell failed to understand how to push the ball during his penalty flick, leading to some questionable umpiring decision to take the flick away from us. With 3 green cards and 2 yellow cards there is no doubt of our commitment to win the quarter final. Alas, we couldn’t stop the opposition from putting 3 past us leaving the game 4-3 ending any possible silverware for the 4s. With the game at an end frustration got the better of Fresher Cahill who refused to shake the umpires hand and instead told him to ‘get on your bike’ (the PC version) warranting a straight red card, the first in almost 15 years causing confusion for UBHMC as to what happens next.
